Marketing hiring is broken at both ends.
If you’re a company, you post a marketing role on a generalist job board and get buried in applicants who aren’t marketers. You try a freelance marketplace and end up in a bidding war where the cheapest quote wins. You call a recruiter and pay a percentage of a year’s salary. Or you look at a premium matching service and find it’s priced for funded scale-ups, not for the startups and SMEs that need marketing help most.
If you’re a marketer, you scroll past sales roles dressed up as marketing, undercut yourself on bidding platforms, and guess at what you should be earning because nobody publishes the numbers.
We’ve seen it from both sides, hiring marketers and working as marketers. So we built the platform we wished existed: marketing only, priced for real businesses, and open about rates.

Is Marktal a recruitment agency?
No. Marktal is a job board and talent directory. Companies and marketers connect directly, and there are no placement fees on the job board. A separate, optional managed matching service is coming soon for companies that want us to shortlist candidates for them.
Is Marktal free?
Marktal is free for marketers, permanently.
Where is Marktal based?
Marktal is UK-based but we are growing worldwide!
How do you make sure jobs are genuine marketing roles?
Every job is reviewed before it goes live. Roles that aren’t marketing roles, or don’t meet our posting standards, aren’t published.
